Drawing on an extensive background in semiconductors and building thermal experimental setups, Pouya Asrar is a senior manager with Samsung. He guides advanced packaging projects at the customer and program levels. Managing complex technical engineering and sales processes end to end, Pouya Asrar works to support customer needs and resolve issues, while ensuring that technical deliverables align with commercial needs.

Mr. Asrar has extensive knowledge of thermal computational fluid dynamics and applying design simulation software such as ANSYS Icepak, Flotherm XT, and SolidWorks. He also has a decade of experience performing experimental validations on test vehicles. He interned with Tesla Motors Inc., where he focused on testing, analyzing, and validating the electronics components used in vehicle infotainment systems.

Mr. Asrar earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering at Iowa State University and a PhD in the same field at the Georgia Institute of Technology. As part of his thesis work, he guided an experimental electronics cooling project within the Microelectronics and Emerging Technologies Thermal Laboratory.
